1System responsible for covering your deposit:

2General limit of protection:
If a deposit becomes unavailable in a general and permanent manner because a credit institution is deemed, based on a decision by the competent supervisory or judicial authority, to be unable to meet its obligations to depositors according to applicable law, the Hellenic Deposit and Investment Guarantee Fund (TEKE) reimburses the depositors.

The reimbursement covers a maximum amount of 100,000 euros per depositor. This means that all deposits held by the same depositor at the same credit institution are aggregated for the purposes of determining the limit of protection. For example, if a depositor holds a savings account with 90,000 euros and a checking account with 20,000 euros, reimbursement will only be provided up to 100,000 euros.

3Special limits of protection:
For more information: www.teke.gr

4Limit of protection for joint accounts:
In the case of joint accounts, the 100,000 euros limit applies to each depositor separately. For more information: www.teke.gr

5Reimbursement:
The reimbursement will become available by TEKE within seven (7) working days from the date of the relevant decision issued by the competent supervisory or judicial authority. In some cases, this deadline may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) months for certain deposit categories.
The depositor's right to seek reimbursement expires after the lapse of five (5) years from the above deadlines.
For the purpose of calculating the reimbursement amount, the balance in all the deposit accounts are offset against any counterclaims the credit institution has against the depositor, provided these claims had become due before or on the date of the credit institution’s failure.

For more information: www.teke.gr

Other important information:

Exemptions for certain deposit categories are detailed on the website www.teke.gr of the Hellenic Deposit and Investment Guarantee Fund (TEKE). SNAPPI Bank S.A. will inform you, upon request, whether your deposits and/or certain categories of deposits are covered.
Your deposits, as indicated in your account statement (for accounts that such statements are issued), are covered in accordance with the provisions of Law 4370/2016, unless they fall under the exemptions listed in Article 8 of the above Law.
Depositors are required to verify their personal details at regular intervals and immediately notify the credit institution of any changes to facilitate identification.
